You've got this old retired guy who just started photography as a hobby, zipping around Lightroom like Richard Petty on race day. I have to say that your skill with this programs is remarkable. Your short videos maintain the attention span of this old guy who sometimes has trouble remembering why he walked into the kitchen. Not a small accomplishment.
You know more tricks than a herd of circus ponies and it's my intent to learn every one of them. I may have to play the videos two or three times for it to sink into my failing memory, but as long as the DVD drive don't break I'll get there.

So it gets a 4. One person found this helpful. Where to begin. I have purchased three of Laura Shoe's video classes. I have also purchased many classes from other photographers. Truly her's are by a wide margin better than virtually all other classes I have been exposed to--and, I confess, I buy way too many of these photography classes, so I have more exposure to them than I ought to. She sends emails out when she has something important to tell us and not many other time.
Above all, I do not get daily emails as I do from others selling their classes telling me what a great offer they have for me that day. Then, if I like that offer, here are all the items I can add to it. If Laura ever does a class in central Texas, I would like to meet her and take that class.
Who wants to read page book before using a product? Not me! Eventually, I bought a book with training photos on disk to "learn all about Lightroom. Oh, the things I could have done better! I doubt that I ever need to use Photoshop again.
Not that it's a bad product, it's simply that LR will do almost everything I want done, in one workspace. It has helped me become proficient in my post processing and output printing using the Adobe Lightroom program. I can always refer back to her videos as a reference when I need a little help or forgot how to do a certain task.
I teach photography and camera work myself, and I find Laura Shoe's Lightroom series among the best I have seen on the internet. Hairball, the precious dudes who do music scores with their podcasts; ad-infinitum. Laure is calm and concise and very professional with a kind edge. You can tell she loves Lightroom and her customers. I wholeheartedly endorse her work and products. Laura's videos are clear and informative. I especially like the associated pdf that tells you where in a given DVD a particular subject can be found, because you can easily go to that spot when you can't remember and are in the middle of trying to do something.
The videos are a good length also. She is good about telling you which version of LR something does or does not apply to. At last, a concise and step-by-step approach to LightRoom.
Easy to review and go back. With her secret blog site for buyers, you get a great group of experts to novices with Laura watching over you.
